We're Here to Help

Library staff are available to consult with you at every stage of the research process. 

  • Contact the library to book a virtual reference session or to send us your research questions via email.
  • Researchers can "visit" the library virtually to view rare materials from home with our Virtual Reading Room service. Schedule an appointment online.

WiFi Information:

  • Free WiFi is available: in the Ahmanson Reading Room, the network name is Reading Room Guest; in other library locations and on the Huntington grounds, you may connect to AtTheH Free Wifi. No password is required for either network.

Visiting the Huntington

The Huntington's botanical gardens, exhibits, bookstore, and dining venues maintain separate hours. See the main website for more information.

Current readers actively using the Library may request one admissions ticket and one guest pass per day.

  • Reservations are limited.
  • Only online ticket reservations are accepted. Passes are not available at the admissions office or in Reader Services.

Library cards are issued and renewed based on a demonstrated need to use the Library and not for other ancillary purposes. Those interested in visiting the gardens and galleries regularly are encouraged to learn about membership.
