Researching at the Huntington Library

Information on using the Huntington Library.

Thank you for your interest in the Huntington Library. We are an independent research center for the humanities that welcomes researchers from all over the world. The library holds more than 11 million items that span from the 11th through the 21st century. Its diverse materials center on 14 intersecting collection strengths. The Huntington is situated on 207 acres in San Marino, California. In addition to the library and Art Museum, 120 acres are maintained as Botanical Gardens for public enjoyment.

The Reader Services Office, located within the library in the Munger Research Center, is happy to assist you with your research. The library reading room and materials are only available to registered readers. Learn how to become a reader.
